Clinical observation on the therapeutic effect of Ofloxacin on the infective diseases in the field of otolaryngology

Abstract
|

|
For the purpose of the therapeutic effect of DL-8280(Tarivid®, Ofloxacin), the clinical study was carried out in 50 selected cases suffering from the ENT diseases, who visited the department of otolaryngology of the National Medical Center. Also of 50 cases, bacteriological flora and its sensitivity test toward Ofloxacin have studied. Following results were obtained.
1. The overall efficacy rate was 78% in clinical trial.
2. The susceptibility of Ofloxacin showed good sensitivity for Staphylococcus aureus, ahemolytic streptoccus, and some resistance for pseudomonas spp. & Enterobacter cloacae.
3. Generally, the side effects were minimal, but one patient suffered from generalized skin eruptions with mild pruritus.
